Jobless because of the virus scare?

How is the Covid-19 virus affecting you?

With this outbreak, it has certainly slowed down the world. Yet, created a crazy rush to supermarkets to stock up on rice, toilet paper and other amenities.

People on cruises have been prisoned on water and thousands were lay off from the drastic drop in travel and other industries. If you were told to take unpaid leave, consider yourself lucky, compared to others who are now jobless.

This is a huge wakeup call to all of us, job security is a thing of the pass. Working a normal job and getting a paycheck at the end of each month could vanish in a blink.

Are you someone who is jobless because of the virus scare?

Pause and ask yourself, “How can you change the relationship to your circumstances?”

What would your answer be?

For me, it was a wakeup call to find another path, another way, that I can learn and work towards, to build a life, a business where I depend on me and not to rely on someone else or a company for a paycheck.

How can I create financial security? This is so important. As much as you heard the saying, “money is not everything”, it does play a pretty big role in everyone’s life, as we all have bills to pay, and put food in our bellies.

So, I spend time researching for an alternative, I read and learn more about online marketing and affiliate marketing. This has interest me before, as I see this grower bigger and bigger in the future. But just googling and searching online, there is so much out there, that it is overwhelming and had no idea where to start. And so, it never happened for me.

NOW, this all changed for me, when I found Six Figures Mentors. It’s an extremely detailed, step by step training with consultants, coaches, mentors, live training and a very supportive community, all working towards the same goal: to succeed, gain freedom both financially and geographically, as well as gaining more time to do the things you love and always dreamt about.

I think, we, in our own ways and ideas want the same things. We have different ways and route to what we want. But if there is a lesser used method, but easier to achieve then the conventional ways. Will you be interested?? Will you try it??

Now, I am not saying you do less work, and boom, your start making tons of money.

Of course, you need to commit, put in the time, but its working smarter, unlike a 9-6 job. How does that sound so far??

I started 6 weeks ago, after watching several free videos and trainings, a few one to one chats with consultants, searching and reading reviews of this training platform.

I always had an interest to learn more on online marketing, affiliate marketing, youtube-ing and everything else online. The problem was I just didn’t know where to start.

Prep Your mind for your intention

Do you believe that your mind can help you overcome anything and/or to help you towards your goals?

Our brain is the most complex organ in our body and according to Neurologist, Barry Gordon in Scientific American, he explained that majority of the brain is almost always active. Therefore, is the 10 percent myth, just be what it is after all?

In my experience, if I prep my mind (over a few days, sometimes a week or two, if it is a more demanding or challenging goal), I set a date to execute. I always succeed with this preparation and helps me not waiver from what I want to achieve. But if I set a goal without much thought and rush into it, then my mind will find all sorts of excuses not to go through with it, and it usually fails.

How do I set my mind?

It begins with a silent conversation with myself. And at anytime, anywhere, I go over my intention through the day, to enforce, to set my mind and get it ready to execute. Then bringing the thought more to focus before I sleep, so subconsciously, it gets program in my mind while I am asleep (hopefullyJ).

What do I set it for?

For everything. as basic as committing to my busy schedule for the week, to an eating choice of removing meat intake from my meals, which was just 3 days ago. So far so good. And towards something bigger, which I am presently doing as well. Committing to an online marketing training that I started in mid-December 2019 and I have not missed any day of learning & training. This journey which I love and enjoy so much, will give me more time and freedom (both geographically and financially) to live and achieve the life I want.

The was so fascinating to watch, The Goop Lab with Gwyneth Paltrow on NetFlix . It’s a docu-series. Watch no 2- Cold Comfort. It’s Mr. Wim Hof teaching his breathing techniques and to prep his mind. It is his method and something he teaches as well. It shows how powerful our mind can be.

Afraid of trying??

We’ve all been there at some point, some of us more, some less…

Or maybe some of us are having this feeling right now.

Why do we feel this way?? What is your reason??

• Fear of failure

• Fear of trying something new

• Fear of what others might say or criticize

• Fear of learning too much, overwhelming

• Fear of not being able to cope

• Fear of not being able to commit

• Fear of……. the reasons and/or excuses can go on and on and on…

Yesterday, I was visiting my sister and she had this quote hung on her wall, and I want to share this with you:-

“Life is too short to wake up with regrets,

So love the people who treat you right, forget those who don’t.

Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get the chance, take it.

If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy.

They just promised it would most likely be worth it.”

I have been there many times, finding excuses to not do, being afraid, or just being comfortable, but I realize there’s another reason.

I so believe everything happens for a reason (I have a scripture writing of it tattooed on me) When the time is right, there is no being afraid or throwing out excuses. It will just happen. It’s almost an open acceptance or invitation of yourself, that’s just meant to be at the very moment. There may be a little fear, which I find is a good thing, but I find that I am open and ready for it. And it probably becomes a ‘change my life’ moment.

Two clear experiences I would like to share. Being a dancer since age 7, I grew up performing, dancing & teaching. When yoga was just getting popular, about 15 to 20 years ago, acquaintance, friends, neighbors were suggesting for me to try yoga. I was like ‘nah’ not my thing, without knowing much about it. Then I was attending a dance workshop, and one of the sessions was an Ashtanga Yoga class. I was like, ‘alright, it’s part of the workshop, will give it a go since its included’    

I attended the session. The instructor was very inspiring, and I enjoyed it. But yet, I was like, no music was being played, it’s a bit boring. How can one attend a class with no music. And that was the end of it.

It was around 5 years later, that I felt I needed something else for my body, and yoga came to mind. I decided to give it a go, no one had to sell me the idea or persuade me to try, I was ready. Since then, I’m a regular practitioner, I got my 200hrs yoga teachers training and actively teaching several styles of yoga. This, “a life changing moment” for me, yes indeed.

Just 6 weeks ago, I said to myself, Laura, something got to change. You have a pretty good life, doing what you love (presently, teaching yoga) & you have the time. But all this is in Singapore and my partner, Patrick (we are not married, but very happy for almost 10 years and counting…), mostly in Spain (running a business and a few projects to complete) We have been doing this long distance, back and forth relationship for 5 years. And trust me, as much as the travel may seem ‘wow’ (and to some point it is) it gets tiring.

One major issue is when I am away, which is every 2-3 months, I don’t get paid. The cycle of teaching as much as 80 over classes per month which helps financially for the time I am away, then spending on airfares and not getting paid when I am gone for 4-5 weeks each trip, takes a serious toll. Patrick and I have also realized that we really hate our time apart now and we miss each other so so much. This became more prevalent when in Nov, 2018, his brother, aged 52, passed away from a heart attack. It was so sudden & unexpected. And in your face wakeup call of “LIFE IS SHORT”.

So, going back, there were many times Patrick has suggested for me to do something new, something online which will allow me to work from anywhere. (yes of course I want to move to Spain with him) It frightened me (coz I don’t know much about it, and didn’t bother to find out more either) thus I came up with many excuses, and other times, I just changed the subject, when he mentioned.

Coming back to that one day in November 2019, it just happened, I took the website address that Patrick suggested for me to check it out (ha, that was like 3 months earlier he gave me the info, oh well, better late than never), and BOOM!!! I got into it, I am doing the training. I love it and look forward to the next day to learn and do more. I see this going well for us.

Now, we are in the end of January and with a big smile on my face and my heart, I will be moving to Spain early April 2020, woohooooo, we are so excited.

In my conclusion, when you are ready and open to welcome something into your life, when the need for that turning point or for a ‘must change’ situation, being afraid or having excuses will just melt away and everything just goes. Then just trust, let it all flow and enjoy the journey.
